Wayfinding: Pitch feedback

(I have analysed the below feedback in my evaluation post.)

Feedback

Being the target audience, you have seen the adoption of technology and smart phones specifically and addressed the split between Android and iOS platforms.

As far as a presentation it was interesting and grabbed attention. Well explained as far as it went. Whenever you rely on one system, you should also consider a 'back up' as it is solely reliant on the one solution. Consider the weakness before you present and have a backup if needed. If you do see a need for a back up, then this will illustrate the shortcomings. Well presented and the video was a good idea in real time it has the potential to 'sell' be demonstration as opposed to theoretical presentation, so, good.

When you rehearse a presentation/pitch in advance try to present to someone who is not privy to the idea and the feedback (as you received on the day) will illustrate areas you will need to address. A good idea, however you need to back up with facts or possible statistics on phone use of the target market etc.

Your pitch was a little under time and needed more awareness of potential problems to address specifically to acheive a maybe stronger outcome. The idea of UX was good but needed a little more consideration and options.
A pitch is your opportunity to grab attention and really engage the audience and achieve a 'that sounds really great' response.

Consider
1. What are you trying to achieve
2. What research do you really need
3. What do you see as the solution
4. How can you explain this simply
5. Consider what you are going to say and why
6. Look for any negatives
7. Address negatives with positives
8. No negatives, less negatives from client
9. It is engaging and simple to understand
10. If you were a viewer what questions would you have
11. If there are are they covered in the presentation already
12. If NOT, WHY not

Well done these are early days.

Consider a 'proposition' and 'insights' and then a 'strategy'. This will educate and inform your direction of approach.
