Collaboration

In level 5 I have learnt the importance of collaboration.  In 505 I created a publication on the importance of buying clothing second hand, and the initial purpose of it was to be a lookbook. Considering the content was fashion and being at an art uni which has fashion photography as one of its courses I reached out to Courtney, a fashion photographer so that she could help me out and contribute to my publication.

I was really happy with the photographs as I am not massively handy with a camera so having some high-quality photos included in my publication made it look more professional.

In 503 responsive, I was able to work closely with a level 6 photographer Kim, in order to create personal branding and promotional materials for her. This was really fun as I was able to talk to her and gain continual feedback instead of creating something to fit a brief for a faceless person or competition. Working with Kim to create something to her specifications was really rewarding especially when she loved the outcome.

I have continued to work with Kim on other projects including some zines for one of her projects I was really interested in, Insides and Outsides, which look at the mind, body and soul and feature photographs with embroidery.
Also I have been able to collaborate with Kim and other girls on level 6 photography to put on an exhibition.
