As a group we chose to keep the design of the presentation minimal to reflect the cleanliness of the app and let the concept be the memorable aspect. The backgrounds were kept white and the use of only 2 weights within 1 typeface, Montserrat, made the whole presentation consistent and flow well.
The start of the presentation was fairly text heavy as we presented our concept and rationale and outlined the basis of the project. As good presentations let the presenters speak and explain rather than having the detailed explanation on the slides themselves, we left the reasons for using augmented reality to bullet points, and I expanded on them, giving more of a deeper understanding to our design.
Using mock ups within our presentation as opposed to just flat designs lended context to the app and allowed the viewer to see them in a real world situation. The scan slide lacks any text as the photos show enough for the viewer to understand, whilst Hannah explained that the QR codes will be made out of vinyl and placed around the uni as decals, allowing users to start their wayfinding journey from any point.
Following the deck, the video demonstrating how the app was used was shown to bring our ideas and designs into fruition.
