Presentation: Presenting
Before the presentation, I was slightly nervous as I struggle with public speaking and I get very nervous and shaky. However, I think that the pitch we did as a group gave me a bit more confidence within my own presenting skills as it went well. I also thought that I had a strong presentation. Prior to the presentation, I had practiced and the duration was over 11 minutes, so I knew I had to concentrate when actually giving it and be concise with everything I wanted to say.
The presentation actually went really well, and I didn't feel nervous when presenting, perhaps because the group I was presenting to was smaller and I felt less eyes on me. Also because I had rehearsed, and made notes I knew what I was going to say. Normally in presentations I always forget at least one thing I wanted to get across but this time I was able to say everything I wanted. Time also wasn't an issue as I was more concise and managed to keep within the 10 minute constraint.
Initial feedback from Dom was that I am in a good position to go into Level 6 as I have identified areas of interest within design that I want to experiment with and develop my skills within in order to improve and create refined outcomes within my level 6 portfolio.
Personally I think I showed my journey through Level 5 well from illness and lacking work to outcomes I was finally happy with in later modules. I also thought I had analysed myself and my work ethic/style well which gave me a basis to recognise my strengths and rectify my weaknesses.
